Guillermo del Toro Enjoys a Taste of Scotland at Mharsanta While Scouting Locations for New Frankenstein Film

Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro recently visited Glasgow to scout locations for his upcoming Frankenstein film adaptation for Netflix.

uring his stay in the city, del Toro stopped by Mharsanta in Merchant City, where he became a fan of their traditional haggis, neeps, and tatties.

Del Toro, who has been working on this new adaptation of Mary Shelley’s gothic classic for over a decade, is bringing together an impressive cast that includes Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi. Production is well underway, with filming set to take place in both Glasgow and Edinburgh this summer.
