What happens on an Eat Walk Tour?
Walking Explore the city on foot and discover areas you may not find on your own. Let us know if you need a shorter or accessible route. Our routes usually include 5-15 minute walks between venues. Expect to walk 30-45 minutes over the whole tour.
Stories Not just history but the story of the city through food and drink from the past right up to today.
Seated Reservations At four unique restaurants and pubs along your route. We take you to the places locals eat and drink.
Eating A tasting menu of locally sourced food equivalent to lunch or dinner. Please advise us of dietary preferences.
Drinking Three locally sourced drinks. Choose alcoholic or non-alcoholic.
Friendship Spend time with fellow foodies and your local guide sharing stories of past adventures and plans for the future.
What type of food & drink can I expect?
Cheese A cheese board with hard, soft and blue cheese or some melted cheesy goodness.
Seafood Smoked salmon and Cullen Skink soup often feature on our menus
Savoury Classics We're famous for haggis and black pudding. Some people love it, some people don't. Try the vegetarian or meat version.
Sweet Classics Our dessert lineup includes sticky toffee pudding, cranachan and fresh berries.
Drinks We include a range of locally produced drinks which may include beer, cider, ginger beer, whisky and gin. Wine is also an option at some stops. Alcohol free drinks are available.
Tour Duration Our tours are 3-3.5 hours depending on how chatty everyone gets.
Venues We visit 4 venues during the tour.
Meeting Points Our meeting points are centrally located and hotel pick up can be arranged for private tours.
Cancellation If we cancel, you'll receive a full refund. A cancellation fee of 100% applies for cancellations made less than 2 days in advance, or in case of no-show. A cancellation fee of 50% applies for cancellations made less than 7 days in advance. A cancellation fee of £10 per person applies for cancellations made 7 or more days in advance.
