A dynamic collaboration between The National Trust for Scotland and Mharsanta

A dynamic partnership between The National Trust for Scotland and Mharsanta unveils ‘A Taste of Scotland' at Hill of Tarvit.

Mharsanta, an innovator in culinary excellence, and renowned for its commitment to sustainability has joined forces with The National Trust for Scotland (NTS).

Together, they proudly announce the new immersive dining experience, 'A Taste of Scotland,' at Hill of Tarvit, a beautifully preserved Edwardian mansion showcasing the most exquisite interiors of a bygone era, and home to Kingarrock Hickory Golf.

This collaboration is fueled by Mharsanta's ‘Innovation in Tourism’ win at the 2023 West of Scotland Thistle Awards, Hill of Tarvit’s passion for delivering sustainable experiences, and Kingarrock’s nomination as a finalist in the 2024 Golf Environment Awards, category ‘Sustainable Project of the Year’.

The impressive setting for this gastronomic tour is the Edwardian Great Hall at Hill of Tarvit. Guests savour a 5-course menu, featuring exclusive tastings from master distillers and brewers, accompanied by captivating stories, imagery, and sounds via cutting-edge technologies. Beyond dining, the immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to play Hickory Golf on the only course of its kind in the UK.

At its core, this new partnership delivers a culinary experience unlike any other while actively supporting the conservation goals of NTS. Every reservation for ‘A Taste of Scotland’ directly contributes to preserving Scotland's heritage, aligning with both Mharsanta and NTS’ shared commitment to sustainability.

Furthermore, the recent introduction of ‘The Helm’, an NTS Travel Trade & Hospitality initiative committed to addressing the CSR needs of its business partners, aligns seamlessly with the ethos of ‘A Taste of Scotland’.

Derek Mallon, owner of Mharsanta, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We are thrilled to partner with The National Trust for Scotland and Hill of Tarvit Mansion. Taking our 'Immersive Taste of Scotland Dining Experience' on the road is an exciting time for the team, showcasing Scotland's finest produce in this fabulous Edwardian property."

Sandrine Contier-Lawrie, Head of Travel Trade and Hospitality at NTS also stated, "Our teams are excited about the partnership with Mharsanta. The immersive Taste of Scotland experience allows our clients to explore Scotland's culinary richness from our opulent Edwardian Great Hall while contributing to the protection of Scotland's heritage."
